TELESTIAL
PAYS COMMISSIONS VIA AFFILIATE PROGRAM
(11/29/2005)
SAN DIEGO -- Telestial, which
provides pre-paid wireless products
for global travelers, unveiled
an affiliate program for travel-related
Web sites.
With the Globetrotter Affiliate
Program, Web sites establish a
unique URL link to Telestial.com,
and earn commissions on Telestial
services. These include 10% commissions
on GSM phones and SIM cards; 5%
on satellite phone sales; and
25% on satellite phone rentals.
GSM (Global System for Mobile
Communications) is a global cellular
standard, and GSM phones are a
must for international travelers.
Pre-paid SIM (Subscriber Identity
Module) cards snap into GSM phones
and generally enable unlimited
incoming calls from anywhere in
the world and varying rates for
outgoing calls.
The affiliate program, introduced
last month, is geared toward airlines,
hotels, consortiums and travel
associations.
To monitor commission earnings,
Telestial contracted Interneka,
which provides online access to
track sales, commissions and traffic.
"Each customer has different
calling patterns, including how
often, how long and where they
anticipate their calls to be,"
stated Ken Grunski, Telestial’s
president. "Our agents take
significant time to determine
with the customer which product
and service is best for them."
